🪄 My journey’s been as colourful as my lipstick collection - it all started with a cornflower-blue eyeshadow when 5 year old me fell in love with makeup. As a teen I was obsessed with reading all the beauty tips I could get my hands on and envisioned myself one day becoming a beauty editor, getting to try out all the latest products (this was my idea of the coolest job).
💋 I studied journalism before going to makeup school in 2011 where I fell in love with transforming the way a person felt! I love contributing in such a memorable and positive way to a someone's happiest day, making them feel their most beautiful and confident self walking down the aisle.
👩🍳Some years on I decided to test my limits and courage by sailing the seven seas, so I worked on private yachts for bit. I did something I never imagined doing– a transatlantic crossing from the Bahamas to Naples… I somehow (😝) ended up as a crew chef onboard. Being creative in the galley was the next best thing for me (aside from finding Sephora in every port!). I swapped my sea legs for some land again after a couple years and completed a Patisserie diploma. I’ve loved baking for as long as I can remember and as a kid tried to convince my friends that baking a chocolate cake was more fun than playing in our treehouse (they were not convinced…).
👰♀️Then I arrived at a fork in the road 😊 and felt a great pull back to the hair and makeup world, especially weddings. I just love the energy of the day and being part of a bride’s journey and bringing her vision to life. I feel lucky to be part of such a big day and cherish the personal connections formed along the way.
📺 As a freelance artist, over the years I’ve worked with a myriad of clients in all areas of the industry. I’ve done hair and make-up for many private clients attending events or doing photoshoots, and I’ve also worked on live TV shows and at a top news channel in South Africa (eNews Channel Africa). Working on such jobs means I’ve learnt to stay calm under the most time-pressed situations.
🎀 In 2021 I moved to the UK from South Africa with my husband and am thrilled to continue my bridal business here full-time. In 2022, in addition to freelancing I also worked at the DryBar in H Beauty Milton Keynes where I received training at the Harrods Knightsbridge store and mastered the art of a beautiful bouncy blow-dry!
💎My hair & makeup kit is my pride and joy with only the best products! Continuous education is so important as trends and techniques are ever-changing so I regularly upskill myself with various courses and masterclasses (my biggest investment being Hair Boss University by Australian Pro bridal stylist Cara Clyne). I love to create gorgeous, modern and timeless looks for my beautiful clients to look back on and still love years down the line!
✨I'm frequently told that I bring a sense of calm (and some laughs) to the job. You may notice that I'm quieter on the wedding morning than at the trial, simply because I like to get into my zone so you're not late for your wedding and you can just enjoy your time with your bridesmaids.
🌞It'll be bright and early when I arrive to get you ready but you can be sure I'll bring my smile and good energy!

Luxury, high-end and professional products are used to create your bespoke bridal look which will last on your skin for hours and hours. Bridal makeup preparations start early in the morning but are built to last ALL DAY & well into the night. This is due to high quality products, professional techniques and applications for longevity of your look.
Makeup & hairstyling isn't a one-size-fits-all thing, which is why I don't stick to one specific brand... instead I find which products work the best for me from each and help me achieve the desired results then add those to my kit.
